The tulip choir of April performs in our front yard
It's not quite the final run through but more of a tease of what is to come
The choir of altos, sopranos, oh the sopranos and a few tenors is splendid
They sway to the left today with the tapping of the golden beat
They sing
They sing
The melody is bright and brings a glistening to my morning
They are not shy but know they will go back to the green room tonight
The choir will grow in numbers tomorrow as more travel the long road
They will sing again tomorrow and the next
But soon, too soon, the song will fade and the music will quiet
Until another day next April when they will perform for us again.
