Day 30: Thirty Days of Gratitude

Today is day thirty of my Thirty Days of Gratitude.  It’s been quite a month of gratefulness. When you slow down and take the time to be conscience of what is right in front of you, it’s easy to be thankful for all the beauty in the world, both large and small.  I have so much to be thankful for in my life right now and try each day to be mindful of all that is beautiful in this life.

Today I am thankful for so much; too many things to put into words.  The list is long and filled with emotion, love, mindfulness, peace, quiet, warmth and so much more.  Let’s just say, today, I am thankful.

I am thankful.

I am grateful.

Gratitude is mine.

Day 29: Thirty Days of Gratitude

Hugs from a 4th grade class
Drawings from little fingers with purple and turquoise markers
A thank you note signed by 26 sneaky 10 year-olds during their math test
High fives for me as they left for the day
“Are you going to be here tomorrow too? Please say yes!”
Kindness from their little hearts

Today I am grateful for the kind gestures and words
of the 4th grade class I substituted for today.
They filled my heart with smiles and made me feel as if I made a difference today.

Day 28: Thirty Days of Gratitude

I’m happier the busier I am.  I love time to sit and just “be” as well, but there are days when the “to do” list just excites me and crossing things off line after line is rewarding. Today was one of those days.  I couldn’t sleep, so starting my day almost two hours earlier than normal probably helped.   The house got cleaned from top to bottom including changing all the sheets.  The dryer is clanking away (some big button from a pair of jeans I think) on the last load of the day.  The house has been Christmasized and the tree is up and sparkling.  Errands were run, dinner made, batting lessons completed and swimming merit badge almost earned (one swim left).  It feels so good to have everything crossed off the list and complete.   I’ll sleep good tonight, that’s for sure.

Today, I’m grateful for the motivation to be on task and put one foot in front of the other,
one moment at a time.

Day 27: Thirty Days of Gratitude

Seriously, I am grateful today for the gift that is the internet.

Integer expressions…sixth grade algebra…

Need I say more?

Grateful for information at the click of the mouse and a few keystrokes
and voila, eureka, we have samples and graphs galore.

Yes. Yes. Yes.

Day 26: Thirty Days of Gratitude

It’s not much, but am still thankful for space in the day and  buying groceries at a “not in a hurry gotta get this chore done” pace.  Sometimes it’s nice to push the sample cd board of all fifteen cd’s you can purchase and hear a little snippet of music from each.  There is relaxation in smelling all the candle scents and picking your favorite.  Browsing through the ice cream asile and walking away without a container filled with butter pecan morsels  is powerful.  I am grateful for the leisure in the chore today.

yes. i always pick vanilla
